The story
Avarcas arrived on Menorca in the 18th century and took their current shape in the mid-20th. RIA has spent decades turning a traditional island shoe into a globally recognized accessory while staying headquartered on Menorca itself.
Founder & origin
RIA Menorca was founded in 1947 by shoemaker Bartolomé Truyol. In 1998 his son Carlos took over and moved the company exclusively to Menorcan avarcas. Port Menorca is RIA's newer, more directional line.

Every pair is handcrafted from top-quality leather, backed by the official Menorcan Avarca Seal of Guarantee and quality-certified by the Menorca Island Government, which verifies genuine geographical origin.
